How do I dream?
Usually in color. Sometimes it's complete storylines that could be a movie... sometimes I'm hopping around from one place to another.
Sometimes I'm myself, mostly... I seem to be other people.
I'll dream in first or third person and sometimes I can control what happens.
Color.
Always myself, except once.
Very little control of the situation.
Lately, very scattered.
Once I had a dream that was so long and involved, it could have been a novel. It was years ago, and I still return to it hopiing to get a little more understanding of it.
Also, I find it odd that I'm passionate about music and drumming in particular, but in the last 10 years I've dreamt about making music maybe three times.

My dreams are vivid and often surreal. (Go figure). I think I always dream in color. Mostly in first-person, but very seldome as myself. I'm as likely to be male as female. Batman, elves on Mars, pregnant by a silver dragon or a werewolf, jumping out the window of a tower as the seas boiled beneath me . . . these are all par for the course.
Tornados usually indicate stress, or a period of great change.
I do foredream, but very seldom, and not generally in any way that seems useful. Just noticeable in hindsight.
I have never drowned in my dreams. If I'm underwater, I either magically make it to the surface, or discover I can breathe the water.
I have died in my dreams. Many, many times. Regardless of people who tell you that you can't. I have also been shot, stabbed, and poisoned. I have committed suicide by means of inhaling toxic gasses. I have run from the evil enemy and been part of the underground rebellion, and sometimes, we lose. And I have watched all these horrible things happen to other people.
And sometimes, just sometimes, I have dreams that aren't really dreams. Where I'm in my own room, aware that I'm dreaming, and can't wake myeslf up. But that would be a topic for the other journal.
